A man has been extradited to Ireland from the UK over two attempted murders more than five years ago.
Gardaí arrested the man, who is aged in his 40s, following his extradition on foot of a Trade and Cooperation Agreement this afternoon.
He has been charged in relation to attempted murders in March 2017 and September 2016, and is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening.
