A man extradited has been remanded in custody after he was from the UK and charged with rape and sexual abuse of two males in Dublin more than 10 years ago.
The man, in his 50s, who cannot be named due to the nature of the charges, appeared at Dublin District Court on Thursday.
He faced 13 charges of sexual assault of one complainant from 2012 to 2019.
He has 13 sexual assault charges and one count of rape involving the second complainant from 2012 to 2019.
There was no application for bail.
Judge Treasa Kelly remanded him in custody pending the preparation of a book of evidence.
Divisional Protective Service Unit Detective Garda Alan Young said the Director of Public Prosecutions has directed that the accused be tried on indictment in the Central Criminal Court.
He said the man was arrested after he was extradited back to Ireland.
