King Puck Is Honoured At Historic Kerry Fair, History Has It That As Cromwell And His Army Were About To Attack Killorglin In Co. Kerry, Ireland, A Herd Of Goats Came Down From The Hills, Warning The People And Thus Saving The Town From Destruction. Now Every August To Mark The Anniversary, A Great Fair Is Held In Killorglin And A Huge Goat, Called King Puck Is Paraded Through The Streets And Finally Hoisted Onto A Scaffolding In The Market Square, Where He Is Crowned Before The Gathered Crowd Of Kerry Folk.
