The Late Late Show will play host to another diverse cast of characters tomorrow evening on RTÉ One as host Ryan Tubridy is set to chat with actress Amy Huberman, Footloose star Kevin Bacon and a young teenager struck down by Covid-19.

Amy Huberman is set to talk about the launch of a new series of her successful show, Finding Joy, while also giving insight into what she has discovered about her new home's spooky past.

The actress will also be chatting about emerging from lockdown, expecting her third baby and why she chose to reveal the news on Instagram.

In her first television interview since her husband Gay Byrne died, Kathleen Watkins will talk to Tubridy about how poetry brings her comfort, how she managed to survive the last few months cocooning, and what life is like for her now without her beloved husband.

American actor Kevin Bacon, star of the famed film Footloose, will about how he gave Tom Hanks the ultimate acting lesson. The Mystic River star will also explain the phenomenon of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon and how he has learned to embrace this cult status.

Comedy and musicians

Mother Jennifer Edge will join Tubridy to talk about her nightmare experience as her healthy 17-year-old son was struck down with Covid-19 and she was unable to see him for 18 days.

Her son Jack will also make an appearance on the show to share their story and talk about his long road to recovery.

On a lighter note, funny man Dara Ó’Briain will be joining the show from London and promises a story that “will make you laugh until you cry”.

Breakthrough pop artist Lyra will chat with Tubridy about Tinder, singing in mass and finding money under the mattress, while singers Claudia Boyle & Red Hurley will also be in-studio to perform Time to Say Goodbye.

The Late Late Show airs on Friday, October 9th at 9.35 pm on RTÉ One.
