Electing a Ceann Comhairle is the first order of business - but before that, the Healy-Raes marked the day with their own style.

Michael and Danny - joined by family members Johnny, Elaine and Maura - entertained the new TDs, passing public and huddled media with a trad session before entering government buildings.

While a vote to elect Ceann Comhairle is taking place, there will be a vote to elect a taoiseach later.

However, with no clear majority following the election no one is likely to be successful.
