Roches Stores' flagship ready for grand re-opening

One of Dublin's oldest traders, Roches Stores, is to officially open its flagship operation in Henry Street tomorrow following extensive redevelopment.

One of Dublin's oldest traders, Roches Stores, is to officially open its flagship operation in Henry Street tomorrow following extensive redevelopment.

The refurbishment sees the store being extended from 70,000sq ft over three floors to 130,000sq ft of retail space over five floors.

The store will include 20 of the world's most fashionable new brands introduced to Ireland for the first time, including the popular Spanish outfit Zara.

At 20,000 sq ft, it will incorporate a ladies, men's and children's department across two floors and is the first time Zara has had an operation in the Republic of Ireland.

Other brand labels set to feature are Urban Decay, Red Earth and Hard Candy in cosmetics and fashion labels Biba from Germany, Claire.dk from Denmark along with Punt Roma and Urban Costume from Spain.

The home and gifts department sees the arrival of British-based interiors store The Pier.

Several customer service desks and ATM machines are strategically positioned around the store.

There is also a convenience style food hall on the ground level and a number of relaxation points, including; Café Refresh, the Chocolatesoup restaurant and The Atrium Restaurant which seats 250 people.

Roches Stores originally began trading in Henry Street in 1927.
