The real life Erin Brockovich will not be in the audience at the Oscars.
Erin was invited to the ceremony, where Julia Roberts is tipped for the Best Actress award for playing Brockovich.
But Erin is to spend the night looking after her sick daughter at the family home in Oregon.
Her eldest daughter Katie, 16, has a serious sinus condition. Erin is now planning to watch the Oscars at home with her family, it has been reported.
