The Tánaiste Leo Varadkar announced 206 jobs are being spread over Dublin, Kildare, Cork and Sligo.
The high-tech roles are coming on stream at new companies through IDA Ireland.
The companies creating the jobs include Eliatra, Hellios, National Technolodies and ProSeach.
Mr Varadkar says it comes at the right time for the economy.
"It's very good news at a time when we needed a shot in the arm and confidence in our economy. We can see there are still lots of foreign companies that want to invest in Ireland and to create their headquarters in Ireland and doing so will create well-paid jobs with them.
"As a result of the extra spend in the local economy, [there will be] more jobs in those towns and cities."
Commenting on the announcement, CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan said: “I am delighted to welcome these new companies to Ireland and assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support as they embed themselves into Ireland’s business ecosystem.
"I particularly welcome the locational spread of these investments which shows that the technology offering, availability of talent and attractive work life balance in the regions resonates with overseas investors.
