One of Julian Assange’s lawyers has been given a disciplinary warning by Sweden’s bar association after a British judge said he gave misleading information in the WikiLeaks founder’s extradition proceedings, according to Swedish Radio.

The broadcaster cited the association’s secretary-general, Anne Ramberg, as saying the jury voted unanimously in favour of issuing the warning to Bjorn Hurtig.

Ms Ramberg was not available for comment.

In March, British Judge Howard Riddle said Mr Hurtig had submitted misleading information to the court about a Swedish prosecutor’s attempts to contact his client.

Assange is on bail in the UK as he fights extradition to Sweden to face allegations of rape and sexual molestation against two women. He denies all charges.
