Vogue cover comeback for Crawford

Supermodel Cindy Crawford is back on the cover of British Vogue for the first time in 10 years.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford is back on the cover of British Vogue for the first time in 10 years.

The US beauty has posed for the magazine at the age of 38 – and still looks sensational.

Crawford also appears in one of her sexiest ever fashion spreads modelling a see-through top, micro-mini and gold swimsuit slashed to the navel.

“It’s great for us to have Cindy on the cover. She’s something of a Vogue icon and it’s so encouraging to see how terrific she still looks,” said Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman.

The last time Crawford appeared on the cover was in December 1995, shortly after her split from husband Richard Gere.

The 1995 issue also featured Crawford’s fellow supermodels Naomi Campbell, Amber Valetta and Shalom Harlow.

It included an interview with Jemima Khan in which she spoke about “my life as Imran’s wife”.

Both Jemima and Crawford famously took out newspaper adverts declaring their marriages were rock solid. Both split from their husbands soon afterwards.

Crawford is now happily married to businessman Rande Gerber and is mum to Kaya, three, and five-year-old Presley.

In the 10 years since the first cover shot was taken, Crawford has released best-selling videos, tried her hand at acting and is currently working on a new age-defying skincare line called Meaningful Beauty.

She recently ran into trouble with animal rights campaigners after modelling a mink coat, a decade after lending her support to an anti-fur campaign.
