Connections of Kayah will leave it late before deciding whether to supplement their filly for the Vodafone Oaks.
Ralph Beckett’s charge returned to action when landing the totesport.com Oaks Trial at Lingfield by three-quarters of a length earlier in the month.
She is now scheduled to work twice before the supplementary deadline, and a decision will be made following that exercise.
“It all depends on how she works this week. If she works well on Wednesday and then again on Saturday, it’s possible we’ll supplement her,” Beckett confirmed.
“We were obviously thrilled last time and hopefully this week we will find out whether she has improved for the race and we’ll go from there.”
Beckett was thrilled to see Kayah maintain her unbeaten record at Lingfield and says she has taken the race in her stride.
“She’s come out of it very well and we’ve had no problems with her since so I’m very happy with her,” he added.
“It was great as she was only really catching hold of what was required in the last two furlongs.
“She was the most inexperienced filly in the race and she was having her first run of the year.
“Obviously if conditions were soft it would be in our favour but I think she’ll handle quicker ground and Epsom always put plenty of water on to make sure it’s nice ground.”
