Rosanna Davison was encouraged into Playboy by her Dad Chris de Burgh

Model Rosanna Davison has revealed she probably wouldnt have posed for Playboy had she not received encouragement from her Dad, Chris de Burgh.

But the pair have never talked about the pictures which saw the former Miss World strip off for Hugh Hefner’s magazine in Mauritius in 2012.

“It’s not awkward, he was really proud of me and really encouraging,” she said.

“He just said: ‘Look at all the women who have done it before you. It’s an iconic brand.’

“But we never sat down and looked through the pictures, we didn’t talk about the best pictures. I was aware that he had seen them.

“It was him actually that said I should go for it, ” Rosanna said to Angela Scanlon’s new RTÉ2 series Full Frontal.

“[He said:] 'You’re not going to be young forever, you might want to do this in 10 years, that now was the time to do it.'

“I’m happy I had that level of support – because I probably wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t.”

“I showed them to my mum, but as far as I’m concerned my dad never saw them.”
