Perez Hilton has reportedly signed up for 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

US blogger Perez Hilton has reportedly signed up for 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

Perez will be appearing on the upcoming series of the Channel 5 reality TV show after negotiating a £150,000 (€191,000) deal to participate.

Show bosses were keen to sign up Perez due to his huge online influence - he has 5.8 million Twitter followers and his popular PerezHilton.com blog - and hope he will spill the beans on some of his public spats with A-listers including Fergie and Lady Gaga, who accused Perez of "stalking" her after he rubbished her music.

"Perez is a huge influence online, with a website that's one of the biggest in the world,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

"He's also making a name for himself outside the web, having appeared on various telly shows and had run-ins with well-known celebrities.

"Perez loves Britain and the producers of CBB can't wait for him to star in one of the most talked about shows here."

It is thought that Perez - whose real name is Mario Lavandeira - will head to the UK after Christmas ahead of the show's January 7 start date.

Other stars rumoured to appear on the upcoming series include former 'The Apprentice' star Katie Hopkins, TV presenter Keith Chegwin and notorious womanizer Calum Best.
