Chris Martin has hinted rumours his wife Gwyneth Paltrow is pregnant with their second child are true.

Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner appeared to have let slip the secret last month when she told a reporter: "Yes, I am (going to be a grandmother again.) Well, I think so. Oh, well I have not checked lately."

The couple - who have an 18-month-old daughter Apple - have since refused to confirm or deny the claims.

But Martin couldn't contain himself at the recent MTV European Music Awards.

After telling British magazine Heat: "I can't tell you about Gwyneth, you know that, she'd kill me," the reporter claims he confirmed she is pregnant.
