Fey set for 'Muppets 2' role
'30 Rock' actress Tina Fey is in talks to appear in 'The Muppets 2' alongside Ricky Gervais.
Gervais is expected to play the "human lead character" in the "European-centric adventure", taking over from Jason Segel's starring role in the big screen reboot.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fey will play a Russian gulag prison guard, while 'Modern Family' star Ty Burrell will take on the role of an incompetent Interpol inspector.
Although the plot is being kept under wraps, reports indicate it will be a caper film taking place in various European locales.
This would not be the first time Fey and Gervais have worked together as they appeared alongside each other in 2009 film 'The Invention of Lying'.
The film will once again by directed by James Bobin from a script co-written with Nicholas Stoller, and it is expected to be released arrive at the end of this year.
