The SDLP has expressed satisfaction that its complaints over the policing of recent Orange Order parades will be fully investigated by the Police Ombudsman.

The SDLP has expressed satisfaction that its complaints over the policing of recent Orange Order parades will be fully investigated by the Police Ombudsman.

The party has complained to Nuala O’Loan about the PSNI’s decision to overturn restrictions on loyalist marches in the Ardoyne area of Belfast and in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

SDLP spokesman Alex Atwood said yesterday that he was confident Ms O’Loan would get to the truth and that PSNI wrongdoing would be exposed.
