A 16-year-old boy has been assaulted in a paramilitary-style attack in West Belfast.

A 16-year-old boy has been assaulted in a paramilitary-style attack in West Belfast.

The PSNI say the boy was bundled into a car on Lady Street in the city last night.

He was blindfolded and driven to a unknown location where he was beaten and interrogated by a group of men for several hours.

He was later driven to Beechmount Street where he was released.

The boy was treated in the city's Royal Victoria Hospital for his injuries.
