Bomb disposal experts have carried out controlled explosions on a cache of loyalist pipe bombs found in Portadown, Co Armagh, last night.

Bomb disposal experts have carried out controlled explosions on a cache of loyalist pipe bombs found in Portadown, Co Armagh, last night.

The devices were found by children playing in a loyalist part of the town. Ignatius Fox, the SDLP Mayor of nearby Craigavon, said.

He added that leaving the devices in an area where children could find them was "the height of irresponsibility".
