Exports up in March
Exports increased by 1% in March relative to February 2007, the Central Statistics Office revealed today.
Imports decreased by 2%. In contrast, relative to January 2007, exports in February decreased by 2% while imports showed little change.
On an unadjusted basis, the value of exports in March 2007 was €8.4bn, up €322m (+4%) on March 2006, while the value of imports was €5.5bn, down €40m (-1%).
The value of exports in February was almost €7bn, up €535m on February 2006, while the value of imports was €5.3bn, up €362m (+7%).
