Nurses and midwives are very unhappy with the pay rises that have been recommended for the public health sector.

The Nursing Alliance insists that it is disappointed with the pay awards announced today.

Spokesman Liam Doran says that the group is angry and will be writing to the Minister for Finance requesting how the Benchmarking body decided on the pay awards.
