Water restrictions set to continue

Water restrictions in Dublin city and county, as well as Kildare and Wicklow, are likely to continue for the rest of the week.

Dublin City and County Councils say they will continue the 7pm to 7am restrictions until Thursday, when a further review of the situation will take place.

Water levels in major supply reservoirs are not improving and there is a warning of a return to freezing conditions at the end of the week.

Meanwhile, restaurants in areas affected by the shut offs are to seek compensation for loss of business.
