Na Fianna boss Mick Galvin has praised All-Ireland winning skipper Kieran McGeeney for his part in yesterday's Dublin SFC win over St Anne's.
The Dublin champs had to spring McGeeney from the bench after 36 minutes to eventually guide them to a 1-15 to 1-11 win at Parnell Park.
Galvin said: "He's such a professional that he wanted to come down and be part of the team despite winning an All-Ireland seven days earlier.
"We really needed him too. Things weren't looking to good till Kieran came on and Jason Sherlock got us a late goal that sealed it."
