Dublin will be the City of Science in 2012, it was confirmed this afternoon.

Dublin will be the City of Science in 2012, it was confirmed this afternoon.

Science Minister Jimmy Devins said the decision to award the honour to the capital “shows the great strides that Ireland has made in the area of science, technology and innovation”.

Dublin will aim to attract around 8,000 delegates when it hosts the Euroscience Open Forum in 2012.
