A 30-year-old man and a minor have been arrested in connection with the murder of a father of two in west Belfast.

A 30-year-old man and a minor have been arrested in connection with the murder of a father of two in west Belfast.

The victim, 30-year-old John Mongan, was hacked to death with a machete and hatchet as he lay in bed with his heavily pregnant wife on Thursday.

His wife was taken to hospital with a head wound.

The murder is thought to be linked to an escalating feud involving traveller families.
