THE IRISH show jumping squad will this afternoon attempt to increase their lead in the 2007 FEI Nations' Cup League when they compete against 12 other teams for the Zagreb Nations' Cup in Croatia.

The Irish team, under Team Manager Robert Splaine, are drawn second to jump, and will line out as follows: Utopia Vi’T Hoogveld; Edward Doyle, Urleven van de Helle; Thomas Ryan, Tequi D’I CH; Niall Talbot, Upsilon D’Ocquier; Denis Lynch.

Ireland currently holds the Nations' Cup League lead on 83 points, with Denmark second on 72 points, and Italy third on 63 points. To qualify for the 2008 Samsung Super League of the world's eight best show jumping nations, Ireland must retain its lead up to and including the final competition in Buenos Aires in the first week of November.

France will be dropped from the Super League next year, as it scored the lowest points of the eight nations.
