Southampton boss Harry Redknapp has recalled striker Dexter Blackstock from his loan spell at Coca-Cola Championship side Plymouth.

The 18-year-old scored four goals in 14 games during a three-month spell at Home Park. Argyle boss Bobby Williamson said: “Harry Redknapp phoned and explained he had injury concerns.

"Dexter’s been great for us and I hope he goes back there and scores goals that keep Southampton in the Premiership.”

Redknapp also recalled striker Brett Ormerod from Wigan earlier in the week after Peter Crouch injured his hamstring.
