DJ blams Hilton for club brawl

The DJ at the centre of a club brawl involving Paris Hilton has blamed the socialite's entourage for starting the fight.

The DJ at the centre of a club brawl involving Paris Hilton has blamed the socialite's entourage for starting the fight.

The hotel heiress was enjoying a night out at the Winter Music Conference at the Fontainebleau hotel nightclub in Miami, Florida last week when violence flared.

Hilton claims her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, was left bloodied and bruised after stepping in to defend her when she was shooed away by one of DJ Steve Angello's bodyguards. The star claims a group of "six guys" then attacked her lover.

But the Swedish beatmaker claims it was actually Hilton's bodyguards who started the fight - by punching him in the face after he refused to play a song the star had requested.

Angello said: "Paris's story is a joke. She kept demanding I play hip-hop, not Madonna, Daft Punk or anyone else - I'm not a hip-hop DJ. I don't have a bodyguard either. Her guy punched me first and I defended myself. No-one else was involved.

"She might be used to people saying yes to her 24/7, but she's not going to get that from me. The Winter Music Conference is about the music, and that's the reason people travel to it from all over the world. It's not about spoilt girls getting what they want."
