Leeds expect to complete a deal to offload Olivier Dacourt to Roma, despite delays in finalising the move.
The Frenchman moved to Serie A during the January transfer window in a loan deal, with Roma agreeing to pay £4.2m (€ if the move became permanent.
Dacourt has settled well in Italy and Roma are keen to complete the deal, although talks have been under way in London between Roma officials and Leeds chairman John McKenzie.
McKenzie has set Roma a deadline of next Thursday to make an acceptable offer, amid claims the Italian club are hoping to slash the transfer fee and pay it over a longer period of time.
But the Leeds official website, www.lufc.co.uk, reported today: “It is still likely that the 28-year-old will complete the move and not return to Elland Road.”
