Three still in custody after Limerick, Dublin drug busts

Gardaí in Limerick and Dublin are continuing to hold three people in connection with two separate drugs seizures yesterday.

Two women aged 24 and 26 were detained in Limerick following the seizure of four kilos of cocaine during a surveillance operation.

A 35-year-old man was later arrested in Dublin following the discovery of 30 kilos of a drug known as khat at a house in the Donomore area of Tallaght.

Khat is a leaf with stimulant properties that is chewed throughout Africa and in some Middle Eastern countries like Yemen.
