A Co Louth woman who claims she's not getting the required medical attention has gone on hunger strike.

A Co Louth woman who claims she's not getting the required medical attention has gone on hunger strike.

Four letters to two local doctors have been pinned up in the window of the woman's house in Drogheda, claiming that she's too ill to await treatment in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.

The woman is understood to be in her late 60s and living alone.
