Gardaí in Mullingar are investigating a bank robbery in the town.
Two men carrying what appeared to be firearms entered the National Irish Bank on Austin Friar St this afternoon.
They got away with a small sum of cash.
Meanwhile shortly after midday customers at the ACC Bank in Cavan town were confronted by armed raiders.
After jumping the counter the two raiders, one of whom was carrying a sawn-off shotgun, fled the scene with a sum of cash.
