Woman due in court after airport attack

A 52 year-old woman is due before a special sitting of Killaloe District Court in connection with an attack on US military aircraft at Shannon airport.

A 52 year-old woman is due before a special sitting of Killaloe District Court in connection with an attack on US military aircraft at Shannon airport.

It follows damage caused to the nose of the C-40 naval plane overnight.

The woman is a member of the peace camp which has been protesting at the airport for several weeks.

They have been demanding an end to the use of Shannon for refuelling by US planes carrying military personnel.
