Scottish seafood dining chain Loch Fyne looked set for expansion today after pubs chain Greene King reeled in the business for £68.1m (€99.9m).
Loch Fyne has grown from the shores of the Scottish lake in Cairndow, Argyll & Bute, into a national chain with 36 branches, renowned for its fresh oysters and smoked salmon.
Greene King said it saw the potential to double the number of Loch Fyne restaurants through the chain’s development pipeline and the conversion of existing pubs.
The company will add the upmarket restaurant group to its existing food brands, which include the Hungry Horse chain.
