The line-up for the Red Bull Music Academy stage at this year’s Electric Picnic has been announced today.
Affectionately known as “the rave in the woods” by festival veterans, it features dance music stalwarts, rising Irish talent and Red Bull Music Academy alumni over three nights to this year's event.
Festivities will kick off on Friday with local DJ Daire Carolan. He'll be joined later by alumnus Space Dimension Controller, aka Belfast's Jack Hamill.
Paul Woolford, a resident at Space in Ibiza will close out the night with a fusion of house, electronica and hip-hop.
Saturday's line-up features two prospects in Irish house and techno – Morgan Buckley and Boya – teaming up under the Wino Boyz moniker.
Their set will be followed by Dublin-based, Italian-born underground DJ and producer Leopoldo Rosa aka Lerosa.
House legend Todd Terry will headline the RBMA stage on Saturday night, playing music spanning this three-decades-long career.
DJs from Dublin club night/record label Lunar Disko will open Day Three. Carlow's Eddie Reynolds and Dean Feeney, aka techno/house duo TR-One, already a favourite of the Mothership Stage crowds in the Body and Soul arena, will be showcasing their live set live set.
David Kitt side-project New Jackson will follow.
Dublin's Dec Lennon aka Krystal Klear, returns to the RBMA stage as the Sunday headliner.
On the last day of Electric Picnic, the Red Bull Music Academy will partner with The Gentlemen's Academy and host the Red Bull Disco Brunch.
Fine dining food and delicious cocktails will be served “with a healthy side of D.I.S.C.O” between 12 and 4pm on Sunday.
Electric Picnic arts and music festival takes place from September 4-6 in the grounds of Stradbally Hall in Co Laois.
