Man arrested after serious stabbing in Antrim village

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a serious stabbing incident in Co Antrim yesterday evening.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a serious stabbing incident in Co Antrim yesterday evening.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was working at a house in the village of Armoy when he was stabbed in the arm and the head at around 6pm.

He managed to drive to a church on the edge of village, from where be was brought to hospital by ambulance.

The man underwent emergency surgery. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
