The HSE has placed adverts in Sunday’s newspapers, in a bid to recruit 19 new mental health consultants.

The HSE has placed adverts in Sunday’s newspapers, in a bid to recruit 19 new mental health consultants.

They are to be employed under a new contract, which is being negotiated between the executive and consultants' representative groups.

The talks have been ongoing for more than two years but are believed to be close to an end, as sides negotiate the final details of new working arrangements.

The advert are being placed with the agreement of consultants.
