Irish hoteliers say their industry is facing its worst crisis in more than 30 years.

The Irish Hotels Federation is holding a meeting in Dublin today to discuss the challenges faced by its members.

It says the sector has been devastated by falling tourism numbers and an over-capacity of hotel rooms, particularly in Dublin.

The federation’s members are calling on the Government to help some hoteliers exit the industry.
