Anti-war protestors to take to streets in Dublin

It's protest day in Ireland, with mass demonstrations planned against military action in Iraq.

It's protest day in Ireland, with mass demonstrations planned against military action in Iraq.

Marches have been organised in Belfast and Dublin by groups supporting the Irish anti-war movement.

Altogether more than three hundred cities around the world are staging peace demonstrations.

Organisers expect up to twenty thousand to take part in Dublin.

Opposition TDs as well as union and church leaders are pledging their support.

It begins at Parnell Square at 2pm and will end at the Central Bank.

Spokesperson for the "Peace and Neutrality Alliance", Carol Fox, believes only public opinion will halt a war.
