Police in Belfast are appealing for information after the hijacking of a car last night.

Police in Belfast are appealing for information after the hijacking of a car last night.

A purple Smart car was taken from its owner in the south of the city last night after the driver was threatened.

The suspect was described as being of slim build and was wearing a light grey hooded top, a baseball cap with dark peak and dark coloured trainers.

The car was discovered a short time later and investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
