President in road accident in Co Meath

President Mary McAleese has been involved in a road accident near Enfield in Co Meath.

President Mary McAleese has been involved in a minor road accident, but suffered no injuries.

The accident happened near Enfield in Co Meath. The President's car was slightly damaged.

It is understood President McAleese was en route to her holiday home in Co Roscommon when the accident happened.

No-one else was injured in the accident.
