BBC presenter Christopher Price has been found dead at his home at the age of 34.
Mr Price hosted the BBC's Liquid News entertainment programme. He was found collapsed at his home in Wells Street, central London, at around 4.45pm.
He was confirmed dead at the scene around 6.15pm and police are investigating the sudden death.
A post mortem examination is planned but police are not able to say whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
Mr Price was due to host BBC Choice's live coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest, which was to run alongside the main BBC coverage of the event.
It is understood he was being considered for other projects within the BBC.
Liquid News was launched in May 2000 and it was widely reported last year that he had signed a £250,000-a-year (€405,000) deal with the corporation.
Roger Mosey, head of television news, said: "Christopher's greatest contribution was to BBC Choice, but in recent years he was also a highly-talented presenter on Radio 5 Live and on BBC News 24.
"It was on News 24 that he pioneered Zero30, which became Liquid News. We will miss his journalism as well as his wit, and he was a sparky and entertaining colleague as well as a much-loved presenter on screen."
