An Irish man has died after falling from an apartment building in New York City.

An Irish man has died after falling from an apartment building in New York City.

The man, who is originally from Ireland, had been living on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia for several years.

Police say he died after falling into the lobby of the Brooklyn apartment building in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Department of Foreign Affairs here say they are aware of the case, but that consular assistance hasn't been sought.
