A 21-year-old Dublin man has pleaded guilty to attempting to impede the arrest of a killer who was later convicted of manslaughter.
Jason Beatty, of 2 Merchant Road, East Wall in Dublin, had been charged with intent to impede the apprehension or prosecution of Conor Duffy in December 2008.
Last year, a jury found Conor Duffy guilty of the manslaughter of mechanic Aidan O’Kane, who was shot dead in a laneway in East Wall on December 7, 2008.
At the Central Criminal Court today, Beatty also pleaded guilty to the possession of drugs for the purpose of resale or supply between December 7 and 11, 2008.
He will be sentenced on May 14 by Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan.
