The crisis in Dublin casualty departments is leading to another appeal from the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

It is asking people not to use hospital accident and emergency departments unless it is essential.

The ERHA says casualty departments in Dublin are very busy again today.

The authority says those who are seriously ill or injured should go straight to hospital, but those who are not should attend their GP.
