The mother of Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness died today after a short illness.
Peggy McGuinness, 84, died at home this morning, Sinn Féin said. She was from Elmwood Street, Derry.
Friends and family are comforting Mr McGuinness.
