Los Angeles police officer Karen Smith said Brown had walked into a police station early today and was being interviewed by detectives. She said he was not in custody.

Police say the 19-year-old singer and a woman were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighbourhood early yesterday when they began arguing and the argument escalated when they got out of the car.
