Sean Fitzpatrick in court for 'trustee' hearing
The former chair of Anglo Irish Bank Sean Fitzpatrick has appeared in court for the first time since he was declared bankrupt.
An application by his former employer to have a "trustee in bankruptcy" appointed was adjourned until September.
Sean Fitzpatrick did not have to appear in court two weeks ago when he was declared bankrupt at his own request.
This morning however, he was legally obliged to appear before Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne to hear his former employers Anglo Irish Bank apply to have trustee in bankruptcy appointed.
That person would replace the man the court has appointed to deal with Mr Fitzpatrick's creditors, who are owed some €150m.
On hearing that Anglo was anxious to have the matter finalised, Ms Justice Dunne said she would hear the matter in September before the new court term begins.
The former Anglo chairman did not speak during the the hearing which lasted a matter of minutes.
