Three in serious condition after Clare accident

Three people remain in a critical condition in hospital today following a road accident that killed a man in Co Clare yesterday evening.

Three people remain in a critical condition in hospital today following a road accident that killed a man in Co Clare yesterday evening.

The man died after the car he was driving collided head-on with a tractor in Clonlara just after 6pm.

The tractor driver and two passengers in the car were critically injured and taken to hospital in nearby Limerick.

Around 30 emergency services personnel attended the scene of the crash and it took rescuers an hour to cut the injured passengers from the car.

Gardaí are withholding the dead man’s name until all next of kin are informed.
