Power expected to return to north Dublin homes

As flood waters continue to recede this evening, it's hoped that all power will be restored to houses in the Drumcondra area.

As flood waters continue to recede this evening, it's hoped that all power will be restored to houses in the Drumcondra area.

Severe rain flooded North Dublin over the last two days leaving residents homeless.

Dublin corporation is now advising residents from North Dublin who were forced to leave their homes to return.

Information is now also available from the corporation on the government's flood relief scheme which was extended in recent days.

Met Eireann have now forecast a generally dry evening with no heavy downpours expected.
