Three arrested in connection with death of farmer

Gardaí have arrested three men in connection with the death of John Twomey in Co Cork last week.

Gardaí have arrested three men in connection with the death of John Twomey in Co Cork last week.

The 65-year-old farmer died from a heart attack shortly after he complained of being assaulted, along with his brother, during a dispute with a third party over a land boundary.

One man in his 50s and two in their 20s were detained at around 8am this morning in the Bandon area in connection with the investigation into the case.

They are being questioned at Bandon garda station.
